HOW TO: Create a Custom Script with WinStress Test

 To create a custom Stress Test script:

1. Launch WinStress Test

2. Click Diagnostics

3. Click Custom Setup

4. The script menu will appear. Now select a category, then subcategory and finally select/configure test options.

5.When done selecting and configuring test options, click the save button on the top left of the window.

6. The save options window will display.

7. To skip startup items click the slider to the right (ON).

- Windows Error Log

Checks the Windows system event log for critical issues within last XX day(s).

- Device Manager

Checks Windows device manager for disabled devices or devices that show having a device driver issue.

- Windows Security

Checks Windows Security for disabled Virus protection and Firewall protection.

- SMART State

Checks primary disk drive for SMART issues.

- Enable Entry Prompts

Displays an entry prompt for serial and reference ID when program starts.

8. Custom Power Scheme

To utilize a custom power scheme, click the browse button and locate the power scheme file.

9. Reports

Set the report options as desired.

Create HTML Report

Creates an HTML formatted report. Click the slider to the right to enable.

Create PDF Report

Creates a PDF formatted report. Click the slider to the right to enable.

Create Text Report

Creates an text formatted report. Click the slider to the right to enable.

Create XML Report

Creates an XML database friendly formatted report. Click the slider to the right to enable.

Add UID to filename

Adds a unique identifier to the filename.

Show Report(s)

Displays all select reports at end of test session.
